1992 is a year that will go down in the history books of Manchester United. This year will forever be associated with Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Nicky Butt and the Neville brothers. To celebrate this, adidas and Manchester United have teamed up for a limited edition sneaker release. According to adidas:
"With only 1,992 pairs available, and only a select amount via adidas.co.uk, they will be individually numbered 1 – 1992, making every pair unique. The shoe has an upper using material linking back to the original home shirt worn in that year, and the insole also links to the iconic era, with a printed pattern taken from the away jersey famously worn by Ryan Giggs. The golden lettering of “Ninety - Two” completes the shoe."
These are available Friday November 3rd through adidas UK.
That insole is pretty incredible. That pattern serves as the inspiration for our own UNTD shirt.
